2026 Wilderness Youth Rites of Passage
Rites of passage mark the transition from childhood toward adolescence and young adulthood. Participants prepare through wilderness skills and mentorship before entering a guided initiation journey in nature. These experiences help youth discover courage, purpose, and belonging. They also support older teens in discovering identity, responsibility, and direction as they prepare for young adulthood.

A deeper initiation into young adulthood. Through challenge, solitude, mentorship, and community witnessing, teens are invited to explore identity, responsibility, and direction — stepping forward with greater clarity and purpose.

A guided threshold into adolescence. In a supportive and nature-based container, youth step into greater awareness of who they are, their gifts, and their place within community. This experience fosters confidence, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging.
A guided 5-day journey supporting young people in stepping into adolescence with confidence, awareness, and a sense of belonging.
Participants engage in:
• wilderness skills training
• solo reflection time in nature
• mentorship and council circles
• storytelling and integration
